New Year's Greetings (2026)

I am Ayumi Sakurai, the representative of Fuwafuwa Friend Artworks.

The year 2025 saw two major events.

First, we prepared to announce the Artist Statement for Ryota Sakurai, a Fuwafuwa Friend™.

In September 2024, we held our first photo exhibition. While it brought us great joy, it also left us feeling that we hadn't fully conveyed everything we wanted to express. Ryota spent his days confronting himself and his work, engaging in constant self-reflection, discussing with me, and deepening his thoughts. The Artist Statement is a distillation of what emerged from this process.

Next, actor Emily Kagetsu joined as a Fuwafuwa Friend, acted, decided to cease acting, and departed at year's end.

For about a year, we posted information about Emily on this site and social media. However, reflecting her determination to “close this chapter and move forward,” we mutually decided to remove it.

We take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported Emily.

In 2026, following the example of Ryota, who sincerely confronted himself and created something new, I too will once again confront the philosophy of Fuwafuwa Friend Artworks: “Building a society filled with peace and joy through works of art”.

I will keep firmly in mind that my role is to sell artistic works that contribute to people's happiness, and I will think about and act on how to achieve this.

Specifically, I will work on the following matters:

・Strengthen sales systems and expand distribution channels

・Launch merchandise sales for the artworks

・Hold exhibitions and sales events for artworks and merchandise

・Enhance the website and social media presence

・Advance health promotion activities

・Welcome new Fuwafuwa Friends
